Christopher John "Chris" Weitz is an American director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and author. He is the younger brother of director Paul Weitz, with whom he co-wrote, produced, and directed the American Pie franchise. He and Paul also wrote the screenplay for films, such as Antz and About a Boy.
Chris made his solo-director debut with the 2001 Chris Rock comedy film Down to Earth. He also directed 2009 film The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
For Disney, he wrote the screenplay for the 2015 Cinderella live-action remake and co-wrote and the 2016 Star Wars Anthology Series film Rogue One, along with Tony Gilroy and the 2022 live-action remake of Pinocchio, along with Robert Zemeckis.
