"Callistos on Ice" is the second segment of the fifty-first episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on May 20, 2017 alongside "Beneath Europa", and is the second segment of the twenty-first episode in the second season.
Plot[]
In the kitchen, Miles and M.E.R.C. set up plates for themselves, Loretta, and Phoebe. M.E.R.C. wonders about Leo, and Miles says that he misses him, but his mission will be over soon. Miles thinks it is cool, and the mission for Leo is to fix the Ark Star like new again. Phoebe calls Miles, telling him to save another plate for Leo, who just finished his mission, and the Callistos are heading to Mars to pick him up now.
Loretta pilots the Star Jetter to Mars, and the Callistos are happy to see Leo again. Miles thinks the Ark Star looks brand new, and Leo says it is inside and out. The Callistos are about to tour the ship when a robot informs them about receiving a distress call from Phobos, one of Mars' moons. No one searched for the signal because they are construction bots. Luckily, the Callistos can do so. Even though it has been a while, Leo can still pilot the Star Jetter just fine. Loretta finds a signal, and wonders where it is coming from. Miles sees something at the starboard side, and the Callistos see Blizzbert and Flurrbo, Commander S'Leet's sidekicks. The Callistos decide to rescue them.
At that time, S'Leet himself breaks into the Stellosphere and freezes Stella as well as her security module. S'Leet is tempted to steal the Stellosphere because it is empty, but he has bigger plans: stealing the Ark Star. Since the Stellosphere is the only starship fast enough to stop the Frost fleet, S'Leet decides to put the Stellosphere on ice with the Wintertide. Loretta and Miles find out that Blizzbert and Flurrbo on Phobos are really holograms. This means the distress call was fake, meaning S'Leet tricked the Callistos into coming out there, meaning the real Blizzbert and Flurrbo are up to no good. Leo then sets course for the Stellosphere.
The real Blizzbert and Flurrbo use an ice pole to head into the Ark Star. They are amazed at how big the ship is, and head to the controls. They realize everything is written in pictures because the ship was built by the Ancient Builders. Blizzbert and Flurrbo quarrel about the button to power the ship on being a chicken or a tree when they power it on. The ship then takes off from Mars, and the Callistos realize it. This is the reason why S'Leet lured them to Phobos. Phoebe decides to call the SpaceGuard, but that will not work since S'Leet's fleet is too fast, and the only ship fast enough to stop them is the Stellosphere. The Callistos question where the ship is when it is a chunk of ice they see up ahead. Leo says that the only thing they can do to get in the ship is melt their way there.
The Star Jetter grasps the Stellosphere, and the Callistos use their heat rays to open the engine room door. Miles realizes that S'Leet's Wintertide is what froze the ship. The Callistos decide to thaw out certain areas of the ship to get it moving. Miles and M.E.R.C. will take the nacelles, Loretta will excavate the engines and Stella's mainframe, and Phoebe and Leo will thaw out the bridge.
Blizzbert and Flurrbo, meanwhile, decide to slow down the Ark Star by pressing the button that looks like a waffle. S'Leet calls them, ordering them to follow his coordinates, which would take the ship into an ice field, a perfect area for hiding. Loretta finishes thawing out the engines and Stella's mainframe. Miles and M.E.R.C. finish thawing out the nacelles, and Loretta informs her about what she did. Miles and M.E.R.C. say the same thing, and Phoebe tells them to hurry as she and Leo are almost ready. Miles and M.E.R.C. decide to slide through the ship by using the ice. Loretta joins in, and they make it to the bridge. Phoebe is tracking the ion trail left behind by the Ark Star, and Leo turns the controls back on. Phoebe activates her seat's seat warmer before the Stellosphere follows the Ark Star.
The image of where Commander S'Leet is is magnified, and it is revealed to be an ice field. The Callistos assume that S'Leet is trying to hide there, so they continue chasing the Ark Star. However, with the ship bobbing and weaving like the Callistos, it is too dangerous to try docking with it. Miles decides for him and M.E.R.C. to sneak about the ship and shut down its engines with all of the ice chunks everywhere. Leo thinks that it is the best option.
Miles and M.E.R.C. sneak into the ship, and Miles, saying in S'Leet's voice, orders Blizzbert and Flurrbo to go to the hangar to meet S'Leet. Afterwards, Miles presses the tuna fish to reverse the ship's thrusters. S'Leet wonders what is going on, and after Blizzbert and Flurrbo run past him to the hangar, S'Leet realizes it is Miles responsible for all of this.
Just as Miles turns off the reverse thrusters, S'Leet informs him that he is taking back the Ark Star. Miles suggests that he abandon ship, because Miles has the Wintertide, and uses it to freeze the Ark Star. S'Leet takes Blizzbert and Flurrbo back to his ship while Miles and M.E.R.C. head back to the Stellosphere. S'Leet orders Blizzbert and Flurrbo to escape from the Callistos as quickly as possible. Even though S'Leet, Blizzbert, and Flurrbo escaped, Phoebe assumes that the Callistos have not seen the last of Commander S'Leet. At least the Ark Star is saved, and Leo has called for a Tomorrowland Transit Authority tow barge to tow the ship back to its original position. Phoebe says that they will be guarding the ship until the barge arrives. To pass the time, Miles decides to take everyone bobsledding on the Stellosphere, and the Callistos slide down its icy hallways.
