This list is really biassed. Godfather is a fantastic movie on its own, but a movie about an Itallian mafia family shouldn't be compared to an animated musical about a young woman who sets off an eternal winter. With that said, I often like to refer to Toy Story as "The Godfather of Animated Movies." Not because Toy Story is better than Godfather, but because like how Godfather changed mainstream cinema, Toy Story changed mainstream animation. And just on a side not, did you ever even see The Godfather? I wouldn't call something I've never seen before overrated if I haven't seen it before.
Biased it may be, but it doesn't matter. I do not see what is supposedly so "fantastic" (this word sounds a bit exaggerated) about The Godfather (of all films!). I say as I did in a previous reply; while comparing these films one should consider which film gave you the greatest experience, and thus that should logically decide which film was the best in your personal opinion. How exactly did The Godfather "change mainstream cinema"? What do you really mean by this? And yes, I have actually seen The Godfather (which was one of my worst cinematic experiences of my life, and I'm still wondering why people would even care to praise this awful film to such ridiculous heights as have been done). I wouldn't even try to comment on a movie I've never seen before, and thus we'd never have this conversation.
