William "Bill" Berg was an American writer and animator, who worked at Disney for more than five decades.

Bill Berg was born in Tacoma, Washington. He began his profession by studying at Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles before joining Disney's animation department in 1938 as an apprentice. After working his way up to assistant animator, he moved to the story department in 1943 and began writing and sketching Donald Duck cartoon shorts, he and sketched the syndicated Disney comic strip "Scamp" for many years.

In the 1950s, he was involved in the creation of the Dumbo ride at Disneyland and wrote many episodes of The Wonderful World of Disney anthology series. He also wrote for the popular Jiminy Cricket education films, such as How to Catch a Cold and How to Have an Accident in the Home, which were shown in elementary schools, and worked on the 1959 Academy Award-nominated short about mathematics Donald in Mathmagic Land.

Outside of Disney, he wrote episodes of Off to See the Wizard.

Before retiring in 1988, Berg contributed to the 1989 Disney animated feature film The Little Mermaid. He passed away in March of 2002, at the age of 84, at his home in San Juan Capistrano.
