Ruth Elizabeth "Bette" Davis (April 5, 1908 - October 6, 1989) was American actress of film, television, and theatre who was known for her compliance to play unsympathetic characters and was eminently regarded for her performances in a range of film genres, from contemporary crime melodramas to historical and period films and occasional comedies, although her greatest successes were her roles in romantic dramas.

She played Letha Wedge in the 1978 Disney film Return from Witch Mountain and Mrs. Aylwood in the 1980 Disney film The Watcher in the Woods. In 1939, she was caricaturized by Disney in the Donald Duck short, The Autograph Hound and the Mickey Mouse short, Mickey's Gala Premier.
