Lloyd Vernet "Beau" Bridges III (born December 9, 1941) is an American actor and director. He is a three-time Emmy, two-time Golden Globe and one-time Grammy Award winner. He is also a two-time Screen Actors Guild Award nominee.
Bridges was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 7, 2003.
Beau Bridges is known for portraying Bud Nesbitt in the 1997 film RocketMan, Gunter Wetzel in Night Crossing, Pete Delaney in Code Black, Paul Johnson in Black-ish, Hank Tilby in The Thanksgiving Promise, and Eli Scruggs in Desperate Housewives. He is currently voicing Sheriff Scaley Briggs in the Disney XD series Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. He is the older brother of Jeff Bridges.
