Trivia[]
- The game gained notoriety for its disastrous initial release where angry parents whose children are crying over what amounted to a non-functional game flooded Disney's support lines on Christmas Day. The game's rushed development led to a lack of compatibility testing, and issues with its use of the WinG graphics API which could only run properly on certain configurations forced Media Station to release amended versions with better graphics and sound support. The Lion King debacle led Microsoft to develop the more stable and powerful graphics engine DirectX in September 1995.
