Andrew Vabre "Andy" Devine was an American character actor and comic cowboy sidekick, known for his distinctive raspy voice.

His Disney roles included Friar Tuck in Robin Hood and Mr. Stone in the two-part Wonderful World of Disney episode "Smoke". He also appeared as himself in the 1971 TV documentary The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World and provided additional voices in the two-part Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color episode "Ride a Northbound Horse".

Devine was born in Flagstaff, Arizona but grew up in Kingman, Arizona. He attended various colleges which included Santa Clara University where he was a football player. His football experience led to his first sizable film role in The Spirit of Notre Dame in 1931.

His notable roles included Cookie, Roy Rogers's sidekick, in 10 films, and appearing alongside John Wayne in films, like Stagecoach, Island in the Sky, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and How the West was Won. His other film credits included Three Wise Girls, Romeo and Juliet (1936), Small Town Girl, A Star Is Born (1937), Pete Kelly's Blues, Zebra in the Kitchen, Myra Breckinridge, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, The Over-the-Hill Gang, and its television sequel The Over-the-Hill Gang Rides Again.

Notable with television work, Devine is remembered as Jingles on the TV series The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok from 1951 to 1958, and hosting the children's program Andy's Gang from 1955 to 1960. His other television credits included The Virginian, Wagon Train, The Twilight Zone, Flipper, Batman, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Alias Smith and Jones.

Devine died of leukemia at the age of 71 in Orange, California, on February 18, 1977. The main street of his hometown of Kingman was renamed Andy Devine Avenue in his honor, and his career is highlighted in the Mohave Museum of History and Arts in Kingman.
