"Adventures in Robot-Pet Sitting" is the first segment of the eleventh episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on April 17, 2015 alongside "The Great Blastboard Chase".

Plot[]

The Callistos are impressed that Tomorrowland sent them a blast-jet, the most high-tech rocket pack out there. Leo wonders how fast it can go, but he means use it on missions. Miles wants to try it, but Phoebe is not sure, as using Tomorrowland Transit Authority tech is a big responsibility, and is not sure Miles is ready to try the blast-jet. Since Miles has had lots of practice on his Blastboard, he is allowed to try the blast-jet for a short flight, but only in the hangar. However, when Miles and M.E.R.C. get a battery pack, it powers down, and Miles realizes that he forgot to charge it after he used the Exo-Flex. As a result, the Callistos can not let Miles try big things if he is not responsible enough to do little things, like charge up batteries. Stella then informs them about a call from the TTA.

Admirals Watson and Crick inform the Callistos that their mission is to rescue three robot pets whose starship is no longer functioning and take them to meet their new families on the Tethoscape. They then show Mr. Xylon and the families of Haruna and Pipp. After the Admirals send the ship's coordinates, the Callistos accept the mission, and before the transmission ends, Crick wants a robo-goldfish, since they are so cute, but Watson says he will think about it. Miles is happy that M.E.R.C. is his robot pet, as he can not imagine life without him. Leo reveals that this is the reason why the Callistos got M.E.R.C. the day Miles was born.

The Callistos soon arrive at the ship, whose fuel cells ran out of juice. As Phoebe connects the space tunnel, Leo will go aboard. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. will go to the hangar to help with the robot pets. Leo opens the ship's door, and meets the robo-cat and robo-mouse, but the robo-dog plays with him. Once all of the robot pets are in the hangar, they play with each other while showing off their powers: the robo-cat has a long tail, the robo-mouse has magnetic paws, and the robo-dog has flying abilities. They are all chasing each other because they are excited to be out of the shuttle, and do not have a mission, but once they meet their families, they will calm down. The robot pets then steal Miles' Lazerang and even touch the blast-jet when Phoebe commands them to stop. She tells them to behave until they get to their new families. Leo says that the wait will not be long once they hop on the Photon Superhighway.

Once there, Leo says that they need to hang a right at Jupiter when Phoebe sees a big asteroid up ahead, and tells Leo to stop. Miles assumes that they will have to go a different way to deliver the robot pets, but Phoebe says that the mission will have to wait, as it is the Callistos' TTA duty to make sure the route is clear. While Leo, Phoebe, and Loretta decide to pull the asteroid out of their path, Miles and M.E.R.C. will watch the robot pets, which Phoebe is impressed with, as Miles is serious about the blast-jet.

So far, all is going well until Stella informs Miles that there is an unidentified robot on the bridge. Miles realizes that it is the robo-mouse, and goes for him while M.E.R.C. watches the other robot pets. However, they run away from M.E.R.C., who chases after them. Miles eventually finds the robo-mouse, who escapes through a vent in the ceiling, much to the dismay of Miles.

Leo activates the Star Jetter's space traffic cones, and activates the grappling claw, but the meteor refuses to move. Leo is already trying the spin thrusters, as well. It is also not a good idea for Phoebe and Loretta to use the Exo-Flex suits to help push when they are near Jupiter, as without specialized gear, the planet's radiation belts are very dangerous to humans. Phoebe decides to keep towing, and hopes Miles and M.E.R.C. do not mind pet-sitting a little longer.

M.E.R.C. chases the robo-cat and robo-dog through the hallways, leaving its rooms a mess. Miles is in the engine room and is searching for the robo-mouse when it plays with Miles, who calls his parents. Phoebe tells him that they are making progress on moving the asteroid, and Miles says that all of the pets are still here. After the transmission ends, the robo-mouse escapes through another vent. Miles and M.E.R.C. meet up in the hangar, unable to keep the robot pets in one space. Miles wonders what he should do when he decides to give M.E.R.C. a snack. This gives Miles an idea to spread out the Booster Bites around the Stellosphere.

After this, Miles rounds up all of the robot pets in one location, and lays out the Booster Bites while riding M.E.R.C. The pets like the snack and shortly afterwards, they are all gathered up in the hangar. Miles reassures them that they will get to their new families soon. The robo-dog wants to play, and Miles throws his Lazerang for the robo-dog to catch. However, Stella informs Miles that the Star Jetter is entering the hangar. As a result, the Lazerang and the robo-dog fly out the Stellosphere's airlock. Miles informs his parents of such, and Phoebe has the robo-dog on radar before the Star Jetter leaves again.

The other robo-pets want to leave the Star Jetter to save their friend. Miles decides that robot pets can go outside near Jupiter's radiation, and tells the robo-cat, robo-mouse, and M.E.R.C. to work together and save the robo-dog. The three robot pets do so, and magnetize the robo-dog to them while the Lazerang is retrieved. The Callistos then arrive at the Tethoscape, where the robo-dog meets Haruna, the robo-cat meets Pipp, and the robo-mouse meets Mr. Xylon. The Callistos congratulate M.E.R.C. for the save, and also thank Miles for the robot-pet sitting. As a result, Leo and Phoebe decide that it is time for Miles to try something big. Miles realizes that it is the blast-jet, and flies it throughout the Stellosphere's hangar with M.E.R.C.
