"A Gummi is a Gummi's Best Friend" is the second segment of the forty-fifth episode of the Adventures of the Gummi Bears. It premiered on November 18, 1989, and was later paired with "Princess Problems", and is therefore the second segment of the sixth episode in the fifth season.
Plot[]
Gusto creates a lifelike stone statue of Zummi, then persuades Zummi to come to his workshop so he can create a better one.
Meanwhile, Gruffi mistakes the statue for his friend, believing that Zummi has turned himself into stone—and so does Lady Bane.
Cast[]
- Corey Burton as Gruffi Gummi
- June Foray as Grammi Gummi
- Tress MacNeille as Lady Bane

Trivia[]
- This is the third of six appearances of Lady Bane in the series.
- Cubbi, Sunni, and Tummi briefly appear, but do not have any lines.
- For the fourth and last time for a Gusto appearance, Artie Deco does not appear with him.
- This is notably Gusto Gummi's last appearance until his season six appearances in "Rocking Chair Bear", and in the series finale "King Igthorn" (which aired almost three months prior, but is placed last, canonically).
- This is originally the twenty-third episode to premiere separately from its sibling segment, which aired the following week. Both segments were later combined, as originally intended, for all subsequent airings; though the episode order was flipped.
